Notto unveils new brand to power Africa’s full credit economy
Africa’s first licensed alternative credit bureau introduces a refreshed identity

Notto, an alternative credit infrastructure company that transforms real-world economic signals into mass-market credit intelligence, introduces a new brand identity.
Since its founding in 2020, Notto has evolved from a specialized credit scoring provider for home loans into a full-scale enterprise credit decisioning infrastructure. The company now analyzes a broad range of alternative data sources, including telco activity, utility payments, and mobile money transactions, to help financial institutions make informed credit decisions at scale.
Across Africa, traditional credit data remains it’s glass ceiling, leaving banks and lenders unable to assess the majority of potential borrowers. This invisibility has created a $300 billion credit gap, representing trillions of dollars in economic activity that goes unrecognized because it doesn't appear in conventional credit bureaus. This represents one of the largest untapped opportunities in modern finance.
With the world’s fastest-growing economies and the digital leapfrogging of its industries, Africa is fast-tracking its transformation into the world’s next powerhouse for global trade. But none of that potential will matter if we don't solve the continent's greatest economic bottleneck: access to credit. Credit is the lifeblood of every great economy, but only if it accounts for the majority.
Dalumuzi Mhlanga, Founder and CEO of Notto
As Africa's first licensed alternative credit bureau, Notto has now analyzed more than billions of real-world economic records across the continent. Through partnerships with banks, telecommunications providers, and fintech companies, Notto is working to close Africa’s credit gap by converting everyday economic behaviour, such as mobile payments, utility bills, and airtime purchases, into measurable, governable, and compliant underwriting intelligence. This approach is expanding credit access to populations that were previously invisible to traditional lenders.

Our new logo — the meaning behind our new mark

Just as a prism refracts white light into its full visible spectrum, revealing wavelengths that would otherwise remain hidden, Notto makes the full spectrum of the credit economy visible, measurable, and underwritable.
The mark’s stacked structure signals what Notto is built to be: wealth infrastructure, engineered to carry the weight of credit decisioning at the scale of a continent.

Our new category — Alternative Data Intelligence

Alongside the new identity, Notto is introducing clearer language for what it does: Alternative Data Intelligence (ADI).
ADI is the system of specialized data sources and scoring algorithms that turn real-world economic behaviour into compliant intelligence for mass-market credit decisioning.
